A screen in Layarva is more than a device with a URL on it: it has a pairing, a status, a content state and a place in the organization.
Pair a screen
Create the screen in the workspace first, then pair the device to it when the hardware arrives.
Screen status
Online and offline state, heartbeat and synchronization status for each screen.
Content state
What is playing now, what is cached, and which publication is the last known good one.
Player
The Layarva player runs the published version, caches what it needs and reports its state back.
Multi-location
Group screens by branch or site so a campaign can target a region rather than a list of devices.
Screen location
Screen location can be assigned manually by an authorized user.
About location
Layarva does not track where a screen is. Location is a field an authorized user fills in, so that a list of two hundred screens can be read by branch instead of by serial number.
There is no GPS tracking, no automatic location detection and no live location feed. If that changes, this page will say so.
